ASH Drywall London to Brighton 2026 before

Yesterday, ASH Drywall's team completed the Skyline London to Brighton Cycle Ride in memory of our much-loved Director and friend, Alex Wallace. We undertook the challenge to raise funds for the Pevensey Ward at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Charity, whose team diligently cared for Alex during his treatment.

We're delighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our suppliers, customers, friends, family and local community, we have now raised £4,177 and counting.

Many of the donations have come from people who knew Alex personally, whilst others have come from those wishing to support a fantastic local cause. The response has been genuinely humbling.

This ride also had special significance for ASH Drywall. Teams from the business regularly took part in the London to Brighton ride during the 1990s, so reviving the event during our 40th year of trading felt particularly fitting.

A huge thank you to:

  • Everyone who donated.
  • Our 12 riders who took on the challenge.
  • Our 2 drivers / support crew who kept the team moving throughout the day.
  • Everyone who helped with planning, logistics, encouragement and fundraising along the way.

Every pound raised will help support patients and families receiving care through the Pevensey Ward, whilst also helping us honour Alex's memory in a way that reflects the kindness, patience and generosity for which he was so well known.

There's still time to donate if you'd like to support the cause:

Thank you to everyone who has helped us exceed our original target. It means a great deal to all of us.
